Our Grand Master Karlo Fujiwara passed away last month on June 17, 2010 at the age of 78. He was born on September 28, 1931 in North Dakota. Grand Master Fujiwara first met GM Jae Ho Park in 1969 when GM Park came to Billings to teach at EMC (now Montana State Univertsity, Billings). Grand Master Fujiwara was an instructor of Martial Arts for over 40 years at both Billings Colleges and the YMCA and most recently volunteering every week at the Rimrock Foundation.
Grand Master Fujiwara recently hosted the 43rd Annual Northwest Taekwondo Association tournament at Rocky Mountain College in Billings where he has been teaching and overseeing the children's and adult Taekwondo classes for at least that long. He served many years as the President of NWTA and of Daemyung USA.
Grand Master Fujiwara was dearly loved, respected and will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
